Discovered dozens of strange fauna and flora in Indonesia

A group of scientists are exploring a jungle in Indonesia today (7-2) said they have discovered dozens of species of frogs, butterflies and the new plant as well as a large number of mammals is almost extinct in other places.

Long beak urchin

Bruce Beehler, co-chief the ealier scientists said that the team also discovered that many wildlife species in the mountains Foja considerably, covering more than 800,000 ha.
Two long beak urchins, a ancient  mammalian species spawn were also found here.
However, these findings have only just been published and will then be reviewed by the scientific community before being officially classified as new species, a process that can take anywhere from 6 until many months.
This expedition - was established by the International Union for Conservation International natural environment - has to Papua province, one of Indonesia's most remote provinces both geographically and politically, on May 12-2005.

Bird nectar

The team includes 11 scientists in Australia, the US and Indonesia, and have needed to 6 new license can legally helicopter over areas full of muddy pond to enter the forest.

They said it discovered 20 frog species, including frogs are small, with less than 1.3 cm in length, 4 butterflies and at least five new species of palm trees group.

One of the most notable findings is the arboreal species yellow Kangaroo, a new species of Indonesia and previously thought to have been hunted to near extinction, and a nectar birds.
