A new kind of fish was discovered in Brazil

A team of international fisheries group learned of Dr Ralf Britz (Museum of Natural History in London) have announced the description of a new species of fish are found in the Rio Negro, in the Amazon, Brazil.

Rio Negro is a rich habitat for small fish, which are considered miniatures of other fish.

In this stretch, the water like black tea and acidic higher than that of rain water, with a pH of 4.5 - 5. This habitat similar to peat swamp in Indonesia, where it was discovered world's smallest fish in 2006, PAEDOCYPRIS PROGENETICA species.

Newly named species is Priocharax nanus science. In Latin, it means that a person nanus dwarf, referring to the small size of this species as an adult.

In all kind of fish, Priocharax is the third, two above species are Priocharax ariel and Priocharax pygmaeus. But, the biggest difference is the new fish fin and pectoral fins that are not composed entirely of cartilage bones.

Sci-News Journal said this fish is not longer than 15mm which carry many microcosm features of other fish species, it is semi-transparent fish (translucent), so easy to evade predators.
